We've been very busy lately - getting the house as ready as possible for Asher - working on his nursery - I've had some paintings (and still have some more to do) that I've been working on ... and the pictures really start to pile up on my phone until I unload them into Photobucket and then onto the blog ... so here it goes ...

Manimals (they take up the most of my picture taking time)...

Whenever I am at my parents' house and Gizmo (my cat from when I was 18 years old) comes to get on my lap when I'm sitting on the couch in the living room, my dad always says, 'Get her down!' like she's not allowed on the furniture ... sometimes she manages to get up without him noticing and we all know not to make it obvious b/c as soon as my dad sees that she's up there, he says to get her down immediately .. This is what my mom came home to the other day after running errands ... We are not sure if Gizmo jumps up on him and he's telling her to get down, but she knows that he can't make her, so she does this out of spite OR (this is my theory) if he waits until no one is home and then calls her over to cuddle with him ... I think it's the latter.

My mom sent me a picture of her mantle all Christmas'ed up ... The teddy bear ones belong to Jeff and I ... have since we were little ...

Dustin cleaned the garage last week and I was all excited for bulk pick up this past Saturday to FINALLY get the big rolls of carpet out of the garage ... and then we missed it b/c we didn't put it all out early enough ... so, looks like the carpet is staying for another month ... GRRRR!

We actually did end up getting a TV on Tuesday of 'Cyber Monday' week & it was on sale ... I realized just how different men and women really are after listening to Dustin tell me about the Roku box and all that it does for almost 36 hours straight ... I finally had to tell him to stop - call my dad if you need to tell someone - I love you, but I don't care. I don't even know how to work it when he's not here ... Boys and their toys! Makes me glad I'm a girl!

Stewie was thoroughly confused by the TV, which was very funny for us to watch ...

Jasper - and all the dogs, really - love it when we sit and watch TV in the living room bc they get to cuddle ... Jasper pretends to be asleep and peeks out to see if you're looking at him ...

Dustin put up some lit garland around our front door ... Not sure we are going to get actual lights put on the house - it's already December 5th and he has to be the 1 to do it - but the tree and the garland look really nice - this is the most decorating we've done in years!

I finished a commission painting of Ruth 1:16-17 for a lady in California - it is a Christmas present for her husband ... made me put this scripture on the short list of verses I'm trying to decide on for a canvas above our bed in our master room ... I like this one, but I also like:

My mom made me red velvet cupcakes this weekend ... they were GOOOOD!!!

Tyson letting me know he's ready for some attention ...

... My parents brought KFC this weekend and Dustin and my dad watched a painful game (if only for Dustin) between OU and OSU while my mom and I sorted through the baby clothes I have to far and put them in piles by age ...

I had my gestational diabetes test today and they only had to stick me FOUR different times with the needle to find a vein this time - it's always a problem and the person doing it never believes me that it's going to be - like I'm insulting their abilities to even mention that others have had a hard time getting blood from me ... I am 29 weeks and 3 days today!

We went grocery shopping and Dustin LET (after I turned on the pouting pretty hard) me get a gigantic thing of Rice Crispie Treats! I am a very happy camper!

Finally, we found what is possibly our dream couch! It's missing some back cushions, but mom and I are going to tackle that and get some fabric that matches the pattern of the rest of the couch and make 3 long cushions - 1 for each angle of the sectional ... We love it! It matches our house perfectly and fits our awkwardly shaped, not-so-big living room really well ... Thank you, Craigslist!

That's it for now ... I'm working on a painting for Asher's room and I'm really close to being done, but I want to wait until I am to post any pics of it ...
