Merry Christmas!
I hope your Christmas weekend was enjoyable and relaxing. Ours way, for the most part, and watching our family open the gifts we got them and then coming home last night to give our dogs their toys and treats were the best parts.
Friday we got all the signs put up for Tyson ... and then it rained yesterday, so we found that a good # of them had fallen off the wooden stakes ... Most are still up, but I think we will be driving around this week duct taping those that fell off ...
Mickey watching Dustin put Caleb's bike together ... and then Dustin and Jeffie playing on Caleb's bike, Caleb checking the bike out - he stripped down to his diaper because he was in the process of 'becoming a dinosaur' last night while we were opening gifts, Rachel with the beach cruiser my parents got her to ride with Caleb, some from this morning of Caleb riding the bike - and it was those pics that made us realize that, although he is only 3 years old, he is very tall, closer to the size of a 5 year old and is probably too big for the bike ... possibly going to have to exchange it for something more his size!
Dustin and I humbly conceded, however, to my parents as the victors of 'Who Got Caleb The BEST Christmas Present' when the Imaginarium was brought out ... He and Peyton LOVED it!

It was a really nice night. My parents put so much thought into their shopping for everyone and they did a really good job this year ... Dustin is like a kid when it comes to Christmas and he comes home and starts 'playing' with all his new toys! I asked for a bunch of candles and Scentsy bricks ... I love smelly things ... Dustin got an arm band for when he runs so he can listen to music on his phone and my parents got us a really nice (really SMALL - we like small) video camera with a tripod for when Asher is born ... it was a good Christmas as far as presents go ... but, even without all the presents for the adults, watching kids and dogs open their presents make all the hustle and bustle of shopping and wrapping worth it ...
I had already commandeered Dustin's pajama pants that were in his stocking before we even left my parents house ... at this point, with how quickly Asher is growing, even my maternity jeans are not comfortable for long periods of time ...
We were exhausted when we got home, but we still had to give the dogs their toys (from us) and treats (from Grandma and Grandpa) ...
Stewie ...
Gremlin ...
Ashley ...
Jasper ...
Mickey and Zwei ...
Evander ...
we tried giving him a cat toy, but he was more interested in chewing on my shoes ...
I almost didn't include this pic b/c it looks like it belongs on the cover of 'Trailor Park Homes and Gardens', but it's too funny not to ... Dustin walked in and said something to the extent of, 'God, you are so sexy!' ... and then he promptly informed me he wanted his pants back and I had to go change into my dad's sweats (I'm bad about stealing other peoples' clothes - especially mens clothing that is a couple sizes too big - and if I ever give it back, it will probably be covered in paint ... keep that in mind if I ever ask to borrow anything!) ![]()
We finished off the night with some hot chocolate and an attempt to watch A Christmas Story, but we didn't make it to the end ... we were delirious and he had to work today, so we'll finish it later this week ... I don't think I had seen that movie in over 20 years!
This morning around 11:00am-ish, a man called and said he thought it was Tyson that had been going between his and his neighbor's house for the last 2 weeks. We dropped everything - Dustin was right in the middle of breakfast and getting ready for work - and shot down to downtown Celina. This cat looks just like Tyson and we thought it was him until we saw that he has a tail ... Tyson's was amputated last year after an injury. We would have left this sweet boy where he was, but he's injured and so friendly and obviously someone's cat ... so, he's now set up in our bathroom with food, water, a little box and a bed. He is litter box trained - but I'm convinced all cats are from the womb - and he is too friendly to be a stray ... we'll see ... we can't keep him. Evander is pissed and the dogs don't take kindly to cats they don't know, but we are going to get him to the vet to get his paw taken care of - it's probably an abscess - and possibly get him neutered at the SPCA ... we are still praying and hoping Tyson comes home ...

A few random pics of Stewie, Dustin and Evander the other night ... Evander was in quite the mood ... it was very funny ...

... a couple of my adorable god daughter, Sammy ...
... and, Dustin had to work today, but he wanted to take our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree to brighten up the break room ... I love him ... he has such a big heart!
I suppose that's all I've got. It was a good Christmas weekend ... I'll be cleaning like a crackhead all week b/c 1. Bulk pick up is next Saturday and I want to make sure we have everything we want out OUT so we don't miss it again and 2. 2012 is next weekend and I want to start the new year as clutter free as possible ... let the freak cleaning begin!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
