Less than 24 hours left in 2011 ... the older I get, the faster time seems to be going ... We have less than 7 weeks left before Asher is here and we still have a lot to do to get ready for that... This weekend's 'TO DO' list was/is a mile long, but somehow we ended up - and by 'we', I mean 'Dustin' - spending all day cleaning the garage yesterday. Don't get me wrong, it was in great need of it, but I was twitching inside as the hours crept by and all that had gotten accomplished was cleaning the garage ... so, Idk if we will get a whole lot done today or not. I don't like monopolizing his entire weekend with 'Honey Do' lists, but there's a lot that I either can't do period or can't do alone throughout the week ... Anyway ... pictures ...

Evander is slowly being more and more tolerant of the stray cat we have. He's been here for a week tomorrow and we have yet to have anyone come forward as his owners. He is not a stray, so that's aggravating. We are not keeping him. Dustin encourages me at least every other day that Tyson is still alive and, if that's the case, Tyson is our cat. As sweet as this stray boy is, he is not our cat and if no one comes forward as the owners, we will find him a new home.

I held Dustin's feet the other day while he did sit ups and on one of the high rep sets, when he was done, I sat back and laid down b/c my tailbone starts to hurt and Asher had fallen forward and my stomach was all deformed .. pretty cool. I find this to be the fun part of pregnancy - where he's big enough to see him moving and stuff ...

I had my 32.5 week check up this week ... the place I'm going for prenatal care leaves a little to be desired, BUT it was the ONLY place I could find that would provide prenatal care without requiring that we pay them IN FULL for labor and delivery by the 28th week - b/c I plan to just show up at the hospital when I'm in labor. We have no insurance and make too much to qualify for any kind of assistance, so that's the plan ... Anyway, this prenatal place in Denton is always packed... this week, I was the only person in the waiting room with English as my first language and there was no an empty seat in the waiting room after I sat down - I'm talking extended family out the ___ - is it really necessary to bring your grandparents to your prenatal appointments? (I'm finding myself much less patient with things that would normally not bother me, like this) ... and when they sent me back for the sample they take every time I go in, this is what the little cubby hole looked like when I went to deposit ... kind of gross.

Yesterday we went back to the 3D sonogram place in hopes that Asher would no longer be breech - mostly b/c my 'doctor' (she's not a doctor, but I don't know her technical professional title) at the prenatal clinic told me he wasn't on Wednesday - and to see if we could get a good picture of his face. 1. He is still breech. 2. His umbilical cord was in his face this time. 3. We will be going back for a 3rd time (they says it's the charm), after he has turned, which the sonographer said I will be able to tell when he has ...

Dustin's all day project from yesterday ... It does look a lot better, I must admit ... and I know he's been wanting to get it done ..

Finally, I have been painting almost every single day and night, trying to get everything ready for Asher's room while I can still tolerate sitting on my studio floor for long periods of time... I have 1 more small (8x10) canvas to do and then I'm finished - then we have to paint the walls something neutral ... so close, but it still feels so far to being finished ...

We were waiting to get some advice on cloth diapers before making any final decisions, but my mom is sending out the baby shower invites today, so we are just going to go for it and register somewhere for cloth, reusable diapers ... how hard can it be? I pick up poop after 6 dogs... I can't imagine babies are much different. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
