Isaiah 25:1: O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things; your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

vs. 4-11: you have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall. You shall bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low. And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make to all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering that covereth all peoples, and the veil that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD has spoken it. And it shall be said in that day, See, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill. And he shall spread forth his hands in the middle of them, as he that swims spreads forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.

We were out back and I saw this cloud - it looks just like a swordfish...or a hummingbird!

I have one more cloud picture from tonight, but I'm saving it for the end....

My little brother, Jeff, and his wife, Rachel, are in Rome, Italy right now and he keeps posting all these pictures on Facebook of him eating this ridiculous desserts - gelato, cookies, pastries - I think he's doing it just to torture me... I told him he should head over to Volterra while there and see if he can find himself any sparkly vampires (if you're not a Twilight nerd, like me, then you won't understand or appreciate my idea)...

I started a new job today... and, of course, I'm getting a sinus infection. Benadryl has stopped working and I can feel the concrete slowly filling my head with every passing hour... wonder what I'm going to feel like in the morning....

Ok - and the best cloud picture... I like to make pictures out of the clouds... Dustin usually makes fun of me, but he couldn't deny the marshmallow man in this one - his arms are out, like he wants a hug!

...and, last but not least, our dog, Jasper, has been going out in the backyard and sticking his nose down into the grass and making these weird puffing noises... we finally figured out why... makes me wonder if he's slow... I'm being serious.
